Chelsea have offered midfielder N’Golo Kante a contract extension, according to the Mirror.
Kante signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2016 on the back of Leicester City’s odds-defying Premier League title triumph. That was despite Chelsea not being involved in either European competition.
The Frenchman wasted no time adapting to life at Stamford Bridge. He became the first player ever to win back-to-back Premier League titles with different clubs. Kante also scooped the PFA, FWA and PL player of the year awards.
Fast forward a year and Kante is a world champion. His meteoric rise to the summit of the football world has been quite incredible, and we’re blessed to be the team benefiting from his unquestionable excellence.

The Mirror report that PSG are interested in signing Kante. Who wouldn’t be? He’s one of the best midfielders in the world. The French giants have history of pulling off seemingly impossible transfers, so you could be forgiven for being wary of their interest.
Don’t fear, though, Chelsea are aware of the danger they pose and have reportedly sprung into action. The Mirror claim that a contract extension has been offered to Kante, in hope that he will put an end to any speculation and commit his future to the Blues.
Only time will tell if he is willing to do so. Cliche it may be, but extending Kante’s contract would be as good as any signing we could make in the transfer market.
