Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has decided to reaffirm his desire to join Real Madrid, once again, publicly.
Hazard is enjoying the best period of his Chelsea career, and tops the Premier League goal-scoring charts after bagging seven goals in just eight appearances. He’s finally fulfilling the potential that Chelsea fans have seen in him, but appears unsure whether he wants to spend his best years at Stamford Bridge.
It’s no secret that playing for Real Madrid is Hazard’s childhood dream. It it were in any doubt, he confirmed it for us all in the summer, while Los Blancos were thought to be after him. Just in case you missed that, he’s done it again.
The Belgian is quoted by ESPN saying:
“I don’t want to lie, it is my dream since I was a kid. We will see. I don’t want to talk about this every day. I don’t have time, but we will talk about my future soon.”
“In my head, sometimes I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay. It is a hard decision. It is my future. I am 27 and I will turn 28 in January.”
“It is also when you have a dream and you want to make it happen. It is like I have said a lot of times: if I leave I will be happy, I know if I stay I will be happy.”
We love Eden Hazard and we always will, but openly discussing the possibility of signing for another club while we’re right in the middle of a Premier League title race is wrong. He won’t get the flack Thibaut Courtois did, though.
