Four Chelsea players have been called up by the Spanish National Team, but Pedro and Cesc Fabregas haven’t made the cut.

Chelsea’s armada of Spaniard’s has been the foundation of our success in recent years. From those who have now departed, Juan Mata and Diego Costa, to those who are currently have an influential presence in Maurizio Sarri’s squad, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.

We have been blessed with some incredibly talented players originating from Spain in recent seasons, so it comes as no surprise that several of the current crop have been called up by Luis Enrique to feature for the national team.

La Roja announced on their official twitter account that Azpilicueta, Alonso, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Alvaro Morata are all in the squad, with Fabregas and Pedro being left out in the cold.

Pedro has had a great start to the season. His omission is questionable, but with Cesc Fabregas missing the majority of our Premier League campaign through injury, he will have expected to be left out.
