Chelsea legend John Terry has an offer on the table to return to Stamford Bridge as a coach, according to The Sun.
Terry spent last season at Aston Villa, captaining them to the EFL Championship playoff final. Having fallen at the final hurdle, after being defeated by Fulham, Terry opted against extending his contract with Villa and subsequently became a free agent once again.
As The Sun report, Terry was in talks with Spartak Moscow over the possibility of signing for them, but he and his family unanimously agreed that it was not the right move for them at the current time. Unearthing his life and moving his children across the world would have been a bold move.
Terry does have another appealing offer on table, as per The Sun. The report claim that Chelsea want him back – but only as a coach. It’s unclear whether Terry would be prepared to hang up his boots in order to coach our younger players. We shall see…
