Chelsea have reportedly emerged as one of the favourites to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford.
Rashford has United DNA. The prospect of seeing him anywhere other than at Old Trafford is a strange thought. However, if Jose Mourinho remains with the Reds, he may be forced to leave the club in hope of furthering his career.
Though just 20-years-old, Rashford has proven himself to be Premier League quality and is also a regular for the England national team. He needs to be playing regularly. If Mourinho cannot give him that promise, he ought to leave.
The Express report that, alongside Everton, Chelsea are favourites to sign Rashford. The Blues could do with recruiting a fresh face to compete for minutes in attack. Rashford, on paper, would be a good acquisition.
Whether United would be prepared to sell to us is a different story. Considering their reluctance to allow Anthony Martial to join us over the summer, we’d deem it unlikely that we’ll be seeing Rashford in a Chelsea shirt anytime soon.
