Bayer Leverkusen prodigy Leon Bailey is keen on securing a January move to Chelsea, according to reports in Germany.
Bailey is considered one of the most exciting young players anywhere on the planet. He took to life in the Bundesliga like a fish to water during his debut campaign in Germany. His stock rose considerably as a result.
It came as somewhat of a surprise that Bailey remained at Bayer Leverkusen over the summer, with speculation linking him to some of the biggest names on the planet.
There is no doubt that, if he continues on the upwards gradient he’s been riding for the past 18 months, he will land himself a move to one of Europe’s elite.
Chelsea are one side who have been continually linked, and Bailey appears keen on the idea of joining up with Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.
That’s according to a report by Fussball Transfers. The reliability of the information they have published is at this point unknown, but with Pedro and Willian now in their 30s, recruiting a new winger will soon be on the agenda.
