Victor Moses has announced his retirement from international football at the age of 27 in order to focus on his Chelsea club career and family.

The right wing-back made this known on he’s Instagram page this evening.

Moses decided to play for Nigeria after initially featuring for England all the way up to under 21 level and was part of the squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Since making his debut in 2012 he went on to make 37 appearances for the Super Eagles scoring 13 goals.

The last coming at the World Cup this summer where he played ever minute for Nigeria scoring in the defeat against Argentina and picking up an assist in the 2-0 win over Iceland.
