  • Kenedy wows Newcastle faithful once again with stunning passage of play.
  • The Brazilian is on-loan with the Magpies for the remainder of the season.
  • You can watch footage of his superb skills further down the article.

In case you haven’t already heard, Chelsea loanee Kenedy is supremely talented.

The Brazilian gave us a glimpse of what he’s capable of during the opportunities he was granted by various Chelsea managers. However, it was clear that he needed to depart and find regular first-team football in order to develop.

Newcastle United provided him with the perfect platform to do so in the January transfer window, signing him on-loan for the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign.

Kenedy has been in fine form at St. James’ Park. He bagged a brace against Southampton last month and set up Ayoze Perez for his side’s only goal of the game against Huddersfield Town two weeks later.

KenedyKenedy has enjoyed a great start to life at Newcastle since leaving Chelsea on loan in January.

He wowed the Newcastle faithful once again during the Magpies’ 2-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

Kenedy picked up the ball in his own half and showed immense pace and power to charge through the Foxes’ midfield. He then performed an ‘elastico’ and made his way between two more players before playing the ball down the right-channel.

He proceeded to run into the penalty area and was unlucky not to latch onto the end of the cross and have a chance at scoring.

You can see the superb passage of play below. The footage was posted on Twitter by user @BRlANFC.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea see Kenedy as a potential first-team player, or merely a money-making opportunity. However, he certainly has the raw potential to grow into a player capable of nailing down a starting spot at Stamford Bridge.

The injection of energy he provides may be exactly what we need after a season of lacklustre and unenthusiastic performances.
