Whilst Chelsea were preparing for their latest challenge against West Ham with three important points on the line in the Premier League, the club shared an emotional tribute for Ray Wilkins in the build-up to the game.
Wilkins, who died at 61 of a cardiac arrest, was most known for his time at Chelsea as a player before coming back as an assistant coach.
There were minutes applauses, decorations and banners for the club’s all-time youngest captain at 18.
Sadly, the Blues couldn’t earn a win in what was an emotional day of remembrance for Wilkins as we drew 1-1 with the Hammers on Sunday.
Ray Wilkins will be missed by all at Chelsea. He was a true blue blood who loved this club and he will never be forgotten
