Reigning Premier League Champions Chelsea secured a convincing Premier League victory during the weekend against West Brom through goals from Alvaro Morata, a brace from Eden Hazard as well as a strike from Marcos Alonso.

Despite the win, Antonio Conte‘s side still trail league leaders Manchester City by nine points.

Captain Gary Cahill however, feels that his side are capable of overcoming the points deficit between themselves and City

“They’ve started off full steam ahead and that’s great for them, but we’re not even at Christmas yet, so let’s just hold fire and see how they get on,’ he said, referring to City’s undefeated start to the campaign.

“They look fantastic at the moment and we have taken a fair bit of criticism at times this season, but we’ve had three clean sheets on the bounce in the league now, it was a great performance and we’ve got a long way still to go.”
