Chelsea are facing delays over their new stadium plans.

The Sun says their new stadium plans have suffered a huge setback, as the 2021-22 target has been pushed back by a minimum of three years.

The delay means that the champions will definitely be staying at the current Stamford Bridge until 2020.

Board members Bruce Buck and Marina Granovskaia announced the first game at the new stadium is due for the opening fixture of the 2024-25 season.

The new 60,000 seater stadium, allowing 19,000 more fans than their current venue, will cost around £500 million.
