Antonio Conte has opted against starting N’Golo Kante against Roma, with the midfielder left out of Chelsea‘s squad for the Champions League clash at Stadio Olimpico.

The France international has been missing since the international break when he suffered a hamstring injury while with Les Bleus.

Kante joined up with the rest of his Chelsea teammates in training on Monday before flying with the squad to Rome, but misses the cut ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester United.

The rest of Conte’s starting line-up is similar to the one that beat Bournemouth 1-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, with Alvaro Morata playing up front and flanked by Eden Hazard – who scored the winner at the Vitality Stadium.

Marcos Alonso starts on the other flank as Kante and Tiemoue Bakayoko line up in midfield, and Cesc Fabregas takes up the right wing spot.
