Arsenal legend Ian Wright was surprised seeing Michy Batshuayi overlooked by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte yesterday.

Batshuayi was named among the substitutes for Chelsea‘s Premier League showdown with Pep Guardiola‘s Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

And when fellow hitman Alvaro Morata was forced off with a hamstring injury in the first half, Conte went with Willian ahead of the Belgian.

Wright told Match of the Day: “I think they’ve got more than enough quality, you can’t be too concerned for Chelsea.

“But when you’ve got a striker [Batshuayi] on the bench, when you lose your striker [Morata], and you’ve got somebody on the bench who scored a goal against Atletico Madrid in the week, and he doesn’t come on, you’d [Conte] rather put Hazard up top… I think that’s worrying, not only for Batshuayi, but I think that’s a bit worrying for Chelsea.”
