Tottenham jumped above Chelsea into third with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Huddersfield at John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

Harry Kane struck inside 10 minutes after Kierean Trippier played the England international in behind the home defence. Kane charged down on Jonas Lossl’s goal before slotting coolly past the Huddersfield goalkeeper, and Ben Davies repeated the trick moments later after a pass from Christian Eriksen inadvertently found the full-back in space.

Kane added a second to heap more misery on Wagner’s men, turning two defenders before bending a firm, left-footed strike past Lossl from outside the box. Moussa Sissoko bundled home a late fourth to add gloss to the scoreline, but the Terriers were well beaten in the first period,

The defeat is the first for David Wagner’s side at home this term and sees them drop to 10th on goal difference.
