Morata has scored six goals in his first six Premier League games for the champions, including a hat-trick against Stoke City last time out.
Morata will face Torres’ Atletico Madrid on Wednesday in a crucial Champions League game and the veteran striker feels Chelsea have signed one of the world’s best forwards in the fellow Spaniard.
“I spoke with [Morata] before he joined Chelsea and told him I would be always on the phone if he needed any advice or if I could help him,” Torres is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

“Looking at the start he has made it doesn’t look like he needs any advice at all – already he is playing well and scoring goals.
“Chelsea have one of the best strikers in Europe – and I am sure he is going to win trophies with them.”
Chelsea returned to Champions League action two weeks ago with a routine 6-0 win over relative minnows Qarabag and Torres – who left Stamford Bridge in 2014 – knows the threat his former club pose.
“The Chelsea games will not be easy – there is a reason they are Champions Of England,” he continued. “They will be one of the teams that believe that are capable of winning the competition this season.
“The teams from England all look very strong this year – they all have quality players and I am sure there is belief among all of them.”
