It’s been another 7 days of hard fought results and well expected thrashing around the footballing globe. There are stories or triumphs and tribulations everywhere, and here are the best! (In 140 characters or less)
Things got underway midweek with everyone’s least favourite cup, the English League Cup (I beg your pardon, the Carabao Cup). One of the big shocks saw Liverpool drop out to Leicester, although new fullback Andy Robertson did help Reds fans with a prideful performance.
Every time Robertson crosses a ball it erases a shit left back from our history. Dossena just went missing from a cinema in Rome.

The real shock of the footballing week certainly didn’t come from Anfield though, but from Madrid, as they fell in a shock loss to Real Betis in La Liga, and their incredible scoring streak was snapped.

Elsewhere in the world, Celtic took out the Glasgow Derby…
.. and the Istanbul Derby also took place, with the referee being put to work.
11 yellow cards
5 red cards
The Premier League then returned with some familiar stories, as Palace continued their struggles…
Crystal Palace goals in their last 11 Premier League games:
0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 4 – 0 – 0 – 0

… West Ham stuck their foot in their mouth …
… and we saw more of the same old Chelsea, United, and City dominance.
5 – Man City are the 1st side to score 5+ goals in 3 consecutive top-flight games in the same season since Blackburn in 58-59. Unstoppable.

Aguero’s hat trick saw him inch closer to breaking a Manchester City record. His efforts capped off a truly amazing week of soccer.
Sorry Sergio, an amazing week of football.
And that was your last 7 days in football! (In 140 characters or less)
