Chelsea will make their return to the Champions League after a one-season absence on Tuesday when the Premier League champions host Qarabag at Stamford Bridge.

Antonio Conte’s side will no doubt be relishing the chance to make an impact in Europe’s premier competition after failing to qualify for the Champions League last season.

The Blues used their lack of involvement in a European competition to their advantage as they went on to win the Premier League last term, but Chelsea will now be aiming to top their Champions League group after being drawn alongside Qarabag, Atletico Madrid and Roma in Group C.

A home tie against Azerbaijani side Qarabag awaits Chelsea on Tuesday, when Conte could decide to hand Eden Hazard his first start of the season.

The Chelsea boss will preview the clash with Qarabag, alongside one of his players, from 12.45pm today.
