Harry Kane has responded to Antonio Conte’s description of him as “a complete striker”.
Kane retained his Premier League Golden Boot last season, scoring 29 goals in 30 games to improve on his record of 25 goals in 38 games the previous season.
This past week, Chelsea manager Conte praised the Tottenham forward, dubbing him the “one striker” he would sign he he had the chance.
“For me, Kane, now, is one of the best strikers in the world,” Conte said. “If I had to buy one striker I would go to Kane. He is a complete striker.”
The 24-year-old is happy to receive such praise, but is concentrated only on Tottenham’s preparation for the upcoming season.
“Obviously it’s kind words,” he told The Sun. “But I’m focused on my team now and what my manager thinks.
“I’m out here concentrating on what I need to do, and being fit for the new season.”
