Chelsea will continue their search for a striker after Borussia Dortmund told Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that he would not be sold.

Aubameyang was thought to be a target for the Blues, who are attempting to replace Diego Costa this summer.

But the Gabon international is no longer an option after Dortmund privately informed him he would be staying in Germany.

That leaves Chelsea with even fewer choices as to who will start the season as their first-choice striker.

Costa scored 20 goals as they won the Premier League title last season, but Antonio Conte soon informed the Spaniard that he was not part of his plans.

Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid has been targeted, but AC Milan are also interested in the forward.

Torino’s Andrea Belotti – Gianfranco Zola’s choice for the role – has also been mooted, while the club have a ‘serious and strong interest‘ in Sergio Aguero.

Manchester City are understandably reluctant to lose a key player to a title rival however, and so Chelsea are left with a dilemma.
