Diego Costa is missing pre-season training with Chelsea while negotiations continue with Atletico Madrid.
The Spanish striker was told by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte that he will not be part of the Blues’ plans for next season.
He is desperate to re-join Atletico Madrid, but they have a transfer ban that prevents Costa joining them this summer.
Undeterred, Atletico reportedly bid £26m for Costa, but that figure falls some way short of Chelsea’s valuation.

According to the Evening Standard, Costa’s absence from training was agreed in advance as negotiations continue.
It is expected that Chelsea will step up their pursuit of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata for £70m.
