Chelsea striker Diego Costa is ready to move to Atletico Madrid – despite their transfer ban being upheld on Thursday.

Atletico’s summer market plans are in tatters after CAS rejected their appeal against FIFA’s transfer ban. The Madrid giants won’t be allowed to register players until the January transfer window.

However, AS says that won’t deter Atletico’s plans. Indeed, they’ve already been contacted by players since the ruling to assure them that a deal can still be done.

Chelsea striker Costa and Sevilla winger Vitolo both want to move to Atletico and have assured them they’re happy to wait until January to make the switch.

Indeed, it’s suggested Costa and Vitolo have already agreed to join Atletico in the New Year.
