Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United are at a disadvantage after progressing in the Europa League.

The Red Devils defeated Rostov 1-0 at Old Trafford tonight to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition with a 2-1 aggregate win.

After the match, Mourinho was asked of crosstown rival Manchester City‘s failure to advance in the Champions League and again took aim at United’s top-six rivals, including league leaders Chelsea, each of whom are not involved in Europe any longer.

“I’m very disappointed, he told BT Sport.

“I’m not making fun of it, I’m speaking really and feeling it.

“It’s bad for us for many reasons, because it’s an English club, all five teams in front of us in the Premier League, nobody has international football.

“We are not playing one match per week like some of them are doing since the start of the season.

“They don’t know what it is to go home and not speak because of fatigue.

“We will work until the limits, and that’s we have to do.”
