Chelsea Midfielder Cesc Fabregas appears to be very close to a return to the first team following a muscular problem after his most recent post on social media.
Despite not initially being an integral part of new boss Antonio Conte’s plans at Stamford Bridge, it is clear that the Blues have missed the creativity and experience that the former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder brings to the side, made clearer by the team’s EFL Cup exit at the hands of West Ham United on Wednesday.
The Spaniard has only started one league game this season, but will be welcomed back with opened arms as Chelsea have struggled to put together a consistent string of performances this term, with Conte potentially ready to throw Fabregas into the mix straight away.
To prove his worth further however, the 29-year-old has been letting the fans know just what he has been getting up to in his recovery period, posting a video on Instagram that shows him using some agility and speed to get to a ball before laying it off to his fitness coach.
It’s safe to say that Premier League opponents will be a lot harder to get around than some training poles, but it’s a start nonetheless.
