Turkish-football.com say a source close to Galatasaray told them Ivanovic has been added to their shortlist for transfer targets.
Galatasaray are reportedly keen on reinforcing their defence in the winter transfer window and see the Serbian international as a perfect signing.
Ivanovic is out of contract in the summer and Galatasaray would be able to speak to him in January.
“Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic is reportedly a target for Galatasaray”
Since Chelsea boss Antonio Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation, Ivanovic has not featured and it looks unlikely that the Blues will offer him a contract extension.
The 32-year-old was a first team regular until the tactical switch that has seen Chelsea’s form improve.
Ivanovic has won a number of honours since arriving at Stamford Bridge, including the Premier League twice, the FA Cups three times, and the Champions League once.
He has made 367 appearances since signing for Chelsea in 2008, scoring 33 goals.
But he has only featured seven times so far this season and is not expected to be in the starting line-up for the Blues’ trip to Southampton on Sunday.
