THE BOSS: Mourinho and Man United had a bad day at the office against Chelsea

“The mistakes United made in the game, you can’t legislate for that as a coach”

Phil Neville

And former United star Neville has hit out at Mourinho and his old side, claiming they didn’t have a system against Chelsea – the opposite to their performance against Liverpool.

“The mistakes they (United) made in the game, you can’t legislate for that as a coach,” Neville told Match of the Day 2.

“United had opportunities to get back into the game but ultimately they weren’t good enough and Chelsea were fantastic.

NOT HAPPY: Neville slammed Man United after their defeat at Chelsea

“People have asked what system United are playing and on Monday (the 0-0 draw with Liverpool) I thought they were fantastic.

“They looked like they had a system they were happy with, they were aggressive and they were tight defensively. Today they were anything but.”
