Pedro got the scoring underway after just 30 seconds and the hosts didn’t let up from there.
Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante were also on the scoresheet as Chelsea inflicted Mourinho’s worst-ever defeat in the Premier League.
And Henry reckons the Blues players were out to get one over their former manager.
“Those guys wanted to prove something to (Jose) Mourinho”
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on Chelsea’s revenge mission against Man United
“Those guys wanted to prove something to Mourinho, the guys that were maybe not in favour of him last year,” he said on Sky Sports.
“Maybe he dropped some, maybe he wasn’t happy with some.
“I think today they wanted to prove a point to him, the whole league, themselves and the fans.”
Henry was also impressed with how easily Chelsea blew United away.
“The balance of the team is right, the desire is right, scoring early helps a lot,” the Arsenal great added.
“But the way they managed the game…Eden (Hazard_ was amazing, (Nemanja) Matic had a very good game, they were all good.”
