Tevez admitted this week he had received offers from Napoli and the Blues but he plans to finish his career with Boca Juniors.

“I’m fine at Boca, indeed my idea, my dream is to finish my career as a player in this wonderful club,” he said.

“Yes, it’s true Napoli and Chelsea seek me, but I repeat what I said before, my desire is to stay at Boca until I retire.”

And now the former Premier League star has admitted he refused a move to Stamford Bridge despite receiving a personal phone call from Conte.

The Blues boss reached out to the 32-year-old following Boca’s 3-2 defeat in the Copa Libertadores semi-final to Independiente del Valle.

“The day after we lost Conte called me and asked if I wanted to come to Chelsea,” Tevez told Argentine radio station Radio La Red.

“I told him no.”

Tevez made 202 Premier League appearances in total for West Ham, Manchester United and City and scored 84 goals.
