Carlos Tevez has revealed that Chelsea wish to sign him from Boca Juniors this summer.

The Argentina forward spent nine years in Europe, joining West Ham in 2006 before leaving Juventus for Boca in 2015, but has been linked with a return to these shores this summer.

West Ham approached the 32-year-old with regards to returning to the club, but his £250,000 wage demands provided a rather large stumbling block.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport, Tevez claimed that the Hammers’ Premier League rivals Chelsea, as well as Serie A side Napoli, had approached him with regards to a move, but that he has rejected both clubs.

“I’m fine at Boca,” he said. “Indeed my idea, my dream is to finish my career as a player in this wonderful club.

“Europe? Yes, it’s true Napoli and Chelsea seek me, but I repeat what I said before. My desire is to stay at Boca until I retire.”
