New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has revealed that he will be seeking advice on how to manage a team in the Premier League from Leicester City manager and fellow Italian Claudio Ranieri, according to the Metro.
The former Italy manager will speak to his compatriot to seek advice about how to deal with life in the Premier League after he was appointed as coach at Stamford Bridge.
Ranieri, a former Chelsea manager, produced one of the greatest shocks in footballing history when he led his Leicester City team to the Premier League title last season, and with the two set to go head-to-head next season, Conte says that he will not hesitate to ask Ranieri for advice.
He said “In the future I will call Claudio Ranieri. He is a lovely man and I will ask him for a bit of advice.”
Conte was speaking at his first press conference as Chelsea manager, after returning from the European Championships in France where he led his Italy team to the quater-finals of the tournament, where they were beaten on penalties by Germany.
Conte will be hoping to lift the spirits of all at Stamford Bridge, after an extremely disappointing campaign last season that saw the reigning champions finish in 10th place.
