New Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is in hot water after stopping his Lamborghini in the middle of a busy road in Ibiza to take a selfie, according to a report from the Mirror.
The Belgian striker was already in trouble after he left his car parked underneath a tree in a park on Monday.
Batshuayi was pictured on Tuesday waiting in the shade as a tow truck hoisted away the rented vehicle for his parking misdemeanour.
But just 24 hours later, he appeared to be causing havoc on the roads again after allegedly stopping for a selfie.
A witness told a local newspaper: “They acted like the owners of the road and didn’t hesitate in stopping in the middle of the road to Ibiza airport to take a selfie.
“It didn’t matter that their manoeuvre could block traffic. The important thing was to look good in the photo.”
The Belgian international was forced to pay the £330 fine to cover the costs of the tow truck that carried his car away on Monday. A specialist crane was required as the car would not fit on a normal tow truck.
Local Press reported that the car was rented under Batshuayi’s brother’s name and that it was unknown who was at the wheel of the car when it was pictured near Ibiza airport.
The 21-year-old was a part of the Belgian squad that was knocked out of the European Championships at the quarter-final stage against Wales, and caught the eyes of Chelsea after an impressive season at Marseille where he scored 23 goals in all competitions.
