Chelsea bounced back from their shocking performance away at Bournemouth with a 5-0 thrashing over Huddersfield.
Gonzalo Higuain showed his class and broke a 19 year old record for Chelsea – the first player to score a brace on their home league debut since Mario Stanic against West Ham.
Some more good news for Chelsea was that Hazard has now broken his drought in front of goal in the league, his previous goals scored on the 26th of December.
Hazard talked about Higuain after the game stating that the Argentine international will ‘score more goals’ and that the striker is ‘intelligent and in the box he’s unbelievable’. A very positive vibe this week, in comparison to Sarri’s comments that he might not be able to motivate his players last week after defeat.
Next up is a tricky fixture away at the Etihad, where both sides will be looking to gain the three points – Man City will need another three points to keep the pressure on Liverpool, while Chelsea need the win to keep the last champions league spot.
Let us know your thoughts going into the next game? Will we gain any points on the road?
