Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League table with a thumping 5-0 win over 10-man Liverpool in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.

Sergio Aguero opened the scoring, slightly against the run of play, before Sadio Mane was shown a straight red card for a high foot which connected with Ederson’s face.

The contest was effectively over as Gabriel Jesus made it 2-0 soon after. The Brazilian added his second after the break before Leroy Sane added a double late one as City strolled back into first place.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham are all in action at 3pm, with Manchester United’s trip’s to Stoke City concludes the Saturday action.
