Antonio Conte‘s achievements at Chelsea have been such that the Italian was awarded one of the top gongs at the 2017 GQ Men of the Year gala on Tuesday night.

Conte, who was named as Chelsea manager last summer, won the Special Achievement of the Year award at the glitzy do for leading the west London side to the Premier League title in his debut season in the Premier League.

The fact the 48-year-old did so with a record-breaking 30 victories while becoming the first coach to win three straight Premier League Manager of the Month awards last term meant he was GQ’s comfortable winner for their Special Achievement Award on Tuesday.

Speaking at the plush event at the Tate Modern, which Conte attended with his wife Elisabetta and daughter Vittoria, the Chelsea manager admitted he was “proud” to have tasted success so quickly in England.

After being presented with his award by Gordon Ramsey, Conte said: “It’s a great pleasure for me to be here.

“Last season was a very special one for me, my players, the club and our fans. For this reason, I want to share this award with them.

“A special thanks to my family: my wife and daughter because they have always supported me. I am very proud to receive this award so thank you very much.”
