Young Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has recently put pen-to-paper and signed a new long-term contract with the club – he celebrated by buying his parents an incredible gift for the all the support they have given him.
The youngster signed a five-year contract with the Blues which will earn him £50k-a-week at the club, and according to 101 Great Goals, he immediately purchased a brand new sports car for his parents. He uploaded the video to social media as he led them out to the surprise.
The 19-year-old joined the Blues at U8 level back in 2004 and has spent much of his time at the club out on loan.
He spent the season with Bristol City last year where he had a fantastic campaign, bagging 23 league goals in the Championship and also picked up the club’s Player of the Year award – along with the Golden Boot.
Abraham was given an opportunity in the Chelsea first-team back in 2014 whilst playing under Guus Hiddink, but hasn’t since been given such opportunity to play in the side that won the Premier League title last season.
After signing the new deal with Chelsea, Abraham then joined Swansea on a year-long loan deal to give him regular football in the Premier League before returning to Stamford Bridge next season where he’ll be hoping he can get a chance to play for Antonio Conte.
