Belgian international Radja Nainggolan has added fuel to the fire over his future following comments made after Chelsea confirmed the signing of Antonio Rüdiger.
The midfield maestro has been the subject of a number of transfer links this summer following his incredible season at the Stadio Olimpico.
Rüdiger, following his £34m move to Stamford Bridge, received a barrage of support from his former Roma teammates.
Most notably, Dutch midfielder Kevin Strootman’s show of support sparked a meltdown on social media as Nainggolan said he was unsure if he would be staying at Roma next season.
Nainggolan is believed to be keen on staying with the Serie A outfit next season, however, with his current contract set to expire in 2020, the 29-year-old is keen to put pen to paper and commit his future with Roma.
The club are believed to be stalling over a new deal for Nainggolan and during an Instagram live broadcast over the weekend, the Belgium international was asked if he would sign a new contract to stay in Rome, to which Nainggolan replied: “I’m waiting, as always!”

Nainggolan’s stunning performances for Roma, following his £12m move from Cagliari in 2014, have brought him into the Belgian national team and into the limelight of European football.
His 14 goals in all competitions last season helped the Giallorossi secure a second place finish in the Serie A table.
