• Monaco's Tiemoue Bakayoko 'Likes' Tweet Claiming That Chelsea Have 'Rejected' the Midfielder

    News Mon 10 Jul 2017

AS Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko has ‘liked’ a tweet claiming that Chelsea rejected him, and that he’s doing anything he can to leave the club this summer.

Bakayoko to Chelsea seems to have been a ‘done deal’ for quite some time, but for whatever reason, the club are still yet to confirm the £35m signing.

But now the situation seems to have changed. It appears that the Blues have rejected Bakayoko, despite Antonio Conte apparently being a huge fan of his, and the club working frivolously to iron out a deal with the French champions Monaco.

It has come to light that Bakayoko has ‘liked’ a tweet that has revealed what’s been going on behind closed doors, which will undoubtedly spark huge rumours surrounding his future:

Now there are three possibilities here. Firstly, the midfielder could’ve accidentally liked it, plain and simple, and Get French Football News Now could’ve stumbled across it at a lucky time.

Secondly, he could’ve liked it ironically – laughing at the fact that someone would claim such a thing. Or thirdly, this could all be true.

Until reports are verified, the truth won’t be known; but Bakayoko’s future seems to have been shot into the air.

The 22-year-old burst onto the scene last season with a stellar campaign with Monaco.

Helping the club to their first Ligue 1 title since 2000, Bakayoko played a pivotal role in pushing Monaco all the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League, where they were knocked out by eventual runners-up Juventus.

Reports have claimed that Monaco are not willing to allow anyone else to leave the club this summer – apart from Bakayoko, who was at the time believed to be on his way to Stamford Bridge. How the latest unveiling of news affects their situation remains to be seen.
