• 'Livid' Antonio Conte Set for Showdown Talks Following Romelu Lukaku Shambles

    News Sun 9 Jul 2017

Antonio Conte is set for showdown talks with Chelsea officials after being beaten to the signing of Romelu Lukaku by Manchester United.

Apparently the Italian is absolutely furious with how the Red Devils were able to steal the striker from under their noses and will demand to know how why he’ll be turning out in red next season and not Chelsea blue.

As reported by the Express, Conte is so annoyed he is actually considering his future at Stamford Bridge.

The former Juventus boss is said to be growing frustrated with the lack of urgency where transfers are concerned – the Blues have only signed Willy Caballero and Antonio Rudiger so far this summer.

He snubbed an offer of a new contract this summer, suggesting all is not as rosy as it seems with Conte and Chelsea at the present moment.

There is interest in Conte from his homeland, namely from Inter Milan who came in with a big offer for him recently, so Chelsea will need to appease him before it gets to the point of no return.

The Blues are expected to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko in the coming days, but need to get to work a signing a new striker, with Diego Costa set to leave the club after being told he was not in the manager’s plans for next season.
