• James Rodriguez Wants Real Madrid Exit in 48 Hours Due to the Signing of Dani Ceballos

    News Sun 9 Jul 2017

Wantaway Real Madrid star James Rodriguez is more desperate than ever to leave the club due to the imminent arrival of Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos.

The Colombian international has been linked with an exit all summer and due to Los Blancos’ latest activity in the market, he wants out of the club in 48 hours.

According to AS, the reason why is because this would mean Rodriguez would not have to travel to the United States for Real’s pre-season tour.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are the three European heavyweights most interested in the 25-year-old, who arrived from Monaco in 2014 for around €80m.

Florentino Perez is keen to recoup much of that fee, with any interested party likely to have to table an offer of around €70m for his services.

The club president is actually keen on keeping Rodriguez due to his marketing appeal, but the player himself has expressed his desire to leave.

The signing of Spanish U21 star Ceballos was the final blow, with the 20-year-old just adding yet more competition to Zinedine Zidane’s midfield.

The French manager has an embarrassment of riches in the department and if Rodriguez were to stay, he would likely get less game time than he did in 2016/17.

He made just 22 La Liga appearances all season, with only 13 of those as a starter, however, he still managed to score eight times while assisting six more.

Rodriguez is still an enormous talent and if he can get regular game time, he may finally fulfil his enormous potential.
