• Leicester City Looking to Lure Chelsea Midfielder Away With Regular Game Time

    News Sun 2 Jul 2017

Leicester City are looking to sign Chelsea midfielder Nathaniel Chalobah as the youngster enters into the last year of his contract.

Chalobah has struggled to get regular first-team football with Chelsea and his desire for game time could force him out of the club – according to ESPN, with Leicester City on high alert and keeping tabs on the situation.

The 22-year-old has risen through the ranks at Chelsea, but has been left frustrated with the lack of time on the pitch. He made 15 appearances for the Blues last season in all competitions, but only one of those was a start in the first team.

Chalobah is a talented player who’s made waves internationally after a call-up for England in this years U21 Championship – where his side made it to the semi-finals of the competition before being knocked out by Germany on penalties.

However, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has difficult decisions to make regarding the team sheet before each Premier League game. He will be defending his league title next year and needs to ensure he has the strongest possible side out for each game in the 2017/18 campaign .

The England midfielder has spent time out on loan to Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley and Napoli. It is believed that Chelsea are looking to keep hold of Chalobah, but he could be forced away from the club if they can’t guarantee him regular football.

Leicester will face some competition in signing the England youngster with both Watford and Swansea City are showing a strong interest in the summer signing.
