Chelsea’s transfer business is finally starting to gain momentum after a slow start.
The Blues recently confirmed Willy Caballero as their first major signing of the summer, replacing the outgoing Asmir Begovic as the club’s second choice goalkeeper, and deals for more established stars on the European circuit are also nearly finalised.
Antonio Conte’s side have been linked with moves for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Roma defender Antonio Rudiger and the pair have both dropped big hints regarding their immediate futures.
Chelsea recently revealed their new kit for the 2017-18 season, with defender David Luiz modelling the shirt alongside Gorillaz character 2-D, and both Bakayoko and Rudiger liked the Instagram post.
Both deals are expected to be completed soon after Nathan Ake was sold to Bournemouth along with Nemanja Matic’s rumoured exit to Manchester United.
Bakayoko’s acquisition could lead to Matic rejoining Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, while Rudiger will battle with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill for a first-team spot should the transfer go ahead.
