Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are looking to bolster the attack in their Premier League winning squad with the signing of two top tier footballers for some serious money.
Don Balon and the Sunday Express report that Chelsea are looking to buy Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli and Everton Striker Romelu Lukaku for a combined £176m.
The players will cost Chelsea £88m each as they close in on a previous deal with Monaco for Tiemoue Bakayoko and Juventus’ Alex Sandro.
Chelsea are looking to build the best team to compete in the Champions League next season and believe these players will add to an already impressive squad.
Romelu Lukaku refused a big money contract which would have made him Everton’s highest paid player as he is looking to play for a side with Champions League football next season.
He revealed last month of his decision on whether he would play at Goodison Park come August: “My agent knows what is going to happen and I know as well. I’m staying calm and we have an agreement with the club as well.”
Lukaku scored an impressive 25 goals and created 46 chances in 37 Premier League games last year.
Dele Alli has had an outstanding two seasons at White Hart Lane and has become one of the best English players in recent years.
He has scored a total of 32 goals with 24 assists and has contributed a lot towards Spurs’ top four finishes in the past two years.
