Chelsea fans can rejoice this weekend, as the Blues have reportedly agreed a deal with Monaco for French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, worth in the region of £36m, which is set to be announced in the coming days.
The acquisition of Bakayoko is set to open the door for Nemanja Matic to make the move to suitors Manchester United, as a busy summer for the champions gets underway.
Following a breakthrough season which saw Bakayoko play over 40 games for Monaco, as they were crowned Ligue 1 champions and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League, the French international has attracted interest from across world football.
However, the Premier League champions have seemingly won the race for the coveted midfielder as the Times report that an agreement has finally been made between Chelsea and Monaco for the 22-year-old, with terms still to be agreed over the coming days.
Bakayoko is about 6 years younger than Matic and played in Champions league semi final. Great swab imo

Bakayoko joined Monaco from Rennes in 2014 and has seen his stock progressively rise as each season goes by, and his displays as a defensive midfielder earned him his first senior appearance for France against Spain in March.
With the 22-year-old reportedly eager to work with Antonio Conte, the move took a number of offers to be accepted but is set to suit both parties – with Bakayoko set to wear the number 14 shirt – but it will likely result in the departure of one of Chelsea’s mainstay midfielders.
With Manchester United seemingly crying out for a defensive midfielder, and Matic’s existing ties with United boss Jose Mourinho, the 28-year-old would fit in seamlessly in Manchester – with his age the only issue – as they look to mount a challenge in the league next season.
