Manchester United are reported to be ‘very keen’ on Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, though the player himself would rather go to London.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with the Pole since he made it clear that he is is unhappy with the support given him by Carlo Ancelotti last season.
But now Guillem Balague has claimed that United are ‘very keen’; understandably so, given the difficulty in doing a deal for Alvaro Morata.
They reportedly had a conversation with Lewandowski’s representatives as recently as this week.
He is astonishingly still only 28 so would not be cheap but may be available for rather less than Morata, Andrea Belotti or Romelu Lukaku.
His Bayern record of 77 goals in 96 Bundesliga games should make him a no-brainer for any Premier League club.
