Lorenzo Insigne’s agent has rubbished reports that the Napoli forward could be on his way to Premier League side Chelsea.

The Sun claims that the Blues have put in a £45million bid for the Italy international with Antonio Conte wanting to improve is title-winning squad ahead of next season.

Insigne bagged 18 goals and nine assists for Napoli as they finished third in Serie A, just five points behind eventual winners Juventus.

However, it seems that the 26-year-old will be remaining in Naples with his agent Franco della Monica revealing the player is happy at the Italian club.

“I would start by saying the offer reported in The Sun would be low and he has always been in the sights of many clubs,” Della Monica told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“The priority for Lorenzo, though, is to be wearing the Napoli shirt and be rewarded in an important way by his team.

“Now he has both and he is happy as well.”
