Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas has joked about just how far he would go for title glory – joking that he would be willing to have another baby next year so that Chelsea can win the Premier League for a second successive season.
Reading that at first glance seems a bit strange; but weirdly, it makes sense. The Spanish playmaker has three children – Lia, born in 2013, Capri, born in 2015, and his latest, Leonardo, born only a few months ago.
It just so happens that each of Fabregas’ children were born merely months before the 30-year-old lifted a domestic league title.
His first came with Barcleona in the 2012/13 season, followed by his debut season at Chelsea in the 2014/15 season and his most recent, when Chelsea won this season’s Premier League trophy.
And now the midfielder has joked about him and his wife Daniella Semaan conceiving another on Twitter, just in time for Chelsea to clinch the Premier League again in 2018.
2013 – Lia was born = won La Liga
2015 – Capri was born = won the PL
2017 – Leonardo is born = win the PL
2018 – Baby, are you ready?爛❤️ pic.twitter.com/TlOtVsHrAw

Now that is commitment. Fabregas struggled for game time until the back end of last season, but surely now Conte realises his devotion to the Blues. The Spaniard is willing to put himself through months of sleepless nights, smelly nappies and crying babies just so that his side can win the league.
Maybe he ought to put a clause in his contract stating that if his wife falls pregnant, he receives some form of bonus, because at this point it isn’t just luck. If Daniella has another child, Fabregas is winning another league trophy – fact.
