• Chelsea Youngster Izzy Brown Apologies for 'Liking' Abusive Instagram Comment Regarding Dom Solanke

    News Wed 31 May 2017

Chelsea striker Izzy Brown has tweeted after liking an abusive Instagram comment regarding Dominic Solanke.

Solanke left the Blues to join rivals Liverpool on Tuesday, ending a 13-year stay at Stamford Bridge. Many Chelsea fans weren’t at all pleased, as they’d been hoping to see the talented young forward break into the first team.

A tribunal will determine the player’s transfer fee (expected to be around £3m) after he turned down a contract extension last year, revealing his desire to exit the London side.

After the move was confirmed, one very angry Chelsea ‘fan’ going by the name of ‘certified_dhillon’ sent Solanke a particularly rude message via Instagram signalling his displeasure at the decision to leave.

    “D***head u won’t win s**t at Liverpool and that’s a fact,” he wrote.

Some sharp-eyed fan later discovered that the comment had even been liked by none other than Brown.

Brown has since tweeted an explanation, but it was already too late as other Blues supporters jumped in with their agreement.
