He told talkSPORT: “Jack Wilshere is good enough to play in any of those top six sides.
“If you want to buy English this summer, where else do you go? I think he’s the perfect fit for one of the Manchester sides.
“You’re buying a 25-year-old player, who had experience but still has his best years ahead of him. He’s still got another seven or eight years.
“I think he’d be at a decent price. If you have to go and pay £25m or £30m for Jack Wilshere, that’s still a bargain!”
Ex-Chelsea assistant Ray Wilkins believes Antonio Conte will look to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge this summer.
And he believes the Everton striker could cost the Blues as much as £60m.
Wilkins told Sky Sports: “If you look at Conte, when he was at Juventus he had [Fernando] Llorente, so he likes a big striker. I would not put it past Chelsea to go back in for Lukaku.
“They sold him at £28m, they are going to have to pay at least double [that] to get him back. They will probably have to pay £60m for him.”
Marko Grujic’s agent insists the 20-year-old will not leave Liverpool this summer after Dinamo Zagreb confirmed they are interested in the midfielder.
Agent Zoran Stojadinovic said: “I am surprised, I don’t know why [Dinamo advisor Zdravko] Mamic is talking about Gruijic. He may as well say ‘we want Messi’! It is simply a waste of words.
“Liverpool do not want to let Marko go anywhere, not even to bigger clubs than Dinamo.
“I spoke to Liverpool about Grujic’s future this winter and asked them about a potential loan deal, with Betis and Hamburg keen to sign him.
“But Liverpool said [Jurgen] Klopp counts on him. So there is no reason for Marko to join Dinamo.”
