However, the move is in major doubt as they add that Inter have their eyes elsewhere.
Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva and Wolfsburg ace Luis Gustavo top their wish list – with Mikel a back-up option.
Calciomercato reckon an agreement is yet to be reached between Inter and the Reds for Lucas over a January loan move.
Mikel reportedly has offers from the MLS and France to quit Stamford Bridge, with Marseille keen to land the midfielder.
