That’s the opinion of former Blues defender Mario Melchiot who believes the change of system the Italian introduced has helped the Belgian return to form.
Hazard has netted nine times in 17 Premier League appearances in helping Chelsea to the top of the Premier League table.
Melchiot told Sky Sports: “I think some of the stuff that he changed is definitely making sure that everybody is fit.
“The system as well helps him a lot because he doesn’t always have to do all the backtracking”
Ex-Chelsea ace Mario Melchiot
“The key ones are the star players. You look at Hazard who is one of their top players was nowhere near the form he had the season before then.
“Now when you look at him playing he is so fit, so difficult to stop and it’s really very hard for players to play against him because it doesn’t matter where he plays.
“And the system as well helps him a lot because he doesn’t always have to do all the backtracking he used to.”
Chelsea are six points clear of Liverpool at the top of the Premier League after winning 12 matches on the spin.
Next up for the Blues is a home clash against Stoke on New Year’s Eve.
Hazard will be hoping to continue his fine form and help Chelsea lift the Premier League trophy in May.
