Hazard failed to impress as Chelsea launched a miserable defence of the title they won in 2015.
Mourinho paid with his job as the Blues slumped towards the relegation zone.
Antonio Conte was eventually installed as his successor – and Wright thinks the change at the top has made a big difference to Hazard.
“Ian Wright says Jose Mourinho made Eden Hazard unhappy at Chelsea”
When quizzed by Match of the Day host Gary Lineker on why Hazard was so poor in the 2015-16 campaign, Wright replied: “(The) Manager made him unhappy.”
Hazard was on target yesterday as Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 win over Bournemouth.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois set the tone at the back and Conte’s attackers then did their bit.
And Wright admits the league leaders are a formidable prospect.
“When you’ve got a team playing that well and a goalkeeper with the concentration that high it’s going to be very, very hard (to stop them),” he added.
